The lads are heading for Piel Island tonight so that they can catch the early tide first thing Sunday morning. Sunday they will be aiming for Llandudno setting off at 07.00 (and will be trying to avoid the shipping lane). (Wales at last!) Al and Mark have been knocked out by the exceptional reception and help they have received at the Walney Marine Club, especially Stuart & Lenny - the members have really looked after Alan and Mark in every way even paying for accommodation for them. A local fisherman, Lee re charged the boats battery and the lads phone batteries and has provided no end of local knowledge. Alan and Mark have really been made welcome. They have also received a number of large donations from these kind hearted people which is very much appreciated. Alan has invested in a new phone (after his phone fell in to the sea) so the website updates and early morning updates on 3FM will continue. The lads are doing well! |
